How To Make It:

Put the meat in a large bowl. Crack the egg and, using your hands, mix it with the meat. Mix in the chives, garlic, and tomato paste. Add the onion powder, butter, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, breadcrumbs, and parmesan, mixing lightly with your hands. Make into 8 patties, place on a platter, cover, and put into the refrigerator for an hour to cool.

Preheat the grill to medium hot. Cook the burgers for 4 minutes on each side if the crowd likes them rare, or 6 minutes for medium. If you would like the cheese melted on the burger, set a slice of cheese on each one and cover it with the top of the bun for the last one minute of cooking. The lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise can be placed between the bottom of the bun and the burger when finished.
