Summer is fast arriving, it's almost time for everyone to stop hibernating inside, go out and enjoy the hot sun, and, of course, fire up those Barbecue grills. Now if you don't have a gas grill than you are in the perfect place. Here we are featuring two popular choices for all your grilling needs, whether it be inside or when the weather is great outside. Read on for info on the George Foreman barbecue cooker and Jenn Air gas grills.
Jenn Air gas grills are a well-known brand of barbecue grills, but what do we really know about this brand and why is it as good as 'the people' say. The Jenn Air Company has actually been sold multiple times in its existence. So first and foremost the Jenn Air Name is just that, a name brand held by a bigger company. Not only that, the grill department (which is all we care about for now) is manufacturing is outsourced to a Chinese based company completely. Now days you can only find these grills at your local big box store, Lowes. And, although this is a great store their large number of customers results in an inadequate amount of repair parts. So when you are looking for a new Jenn Air burner to make some repairs when Lowes is out china is your next source.
These things aside, the Jenn Air grill is very dependable and has many amiable makes and models to suit majority of users. Their stainless steel style is not original but speaks to the grilling community as a whole and it shouts quality to everyone who gazes in its direction. Their indoor models support a BTU range from 45k to 60k where as their outdoor models support a BTU range from 48K to 98K. All models brand new will cost you upwards for $500. All in all Jenn Air grills are very high quality and are worth every dollar, you should be sure to take great care of them.
The George Foreman grill has come a long way from that basic countertop, plain white, kitchen appliance that it once was. The question is are the improvements satisfying the customers grilling needs or are the changes simply glitz and glamor.
The newest model, the GRP99 next generation grill is a bigger model that sports an aluminum finish and a digital output. These attributes are a good look in the kitchen compared to the old Foreman grill but has some issues attached. The GRP99's large nonstick cooking surface is fantastic for cooking multiple items of food and the grilling trays remove for easy hand or machine washing. Great benefits but it seems the removal of the trays also creates heat distribution problems. The heating mechanism is not actually attached to the trays which in turn lead to sporadic hot spots. Sure you could get used to this and cook around them but another rumored problem is the heat itself. The modern digital temperature dial reports temperatures up to 425 degrees but it is widely advised not to cook at this temperature because the grill overheats and shuts off automatically. The best thing about this model is the fact that you can acquire one for less than $100. In the end it would seem that the grill we loved to cook with but hated to look at has now turned into the grill we love to have sitting on out countertops but hate to actually use.
Two great products on the different ends of the price spectrum, the George Foreman GRP99 and the Jenn Air gas grill. Choose the one that will make your summer days hot an exciting.
